Sisterly camaraderie: writing women of the Catskills

When the hectic pace of life in Jersey City got to be too much of a grind for “urban women” Cheryl Clarke and Barbara Balliet, they retreated to the Catskills, where the summers were cool, the light was lovely, and the steadfast mountains stood watch day and night. And… there was the Book Village, six unique bookstores lining the Main Street of the tiny town of Hobart, their new home.
